Alison Ison Chairperson.
I have been a member of Roundhill Tennis Club since the age of 15. At present I am the Chairperson of the club overseeing all aspects of Club life. I am also a tennis coach helping club juniors and adults.
Previously I have taken on the role of Ladies captain where I am still a member of the ladies first team and a member of the National Club league team.
I now play County tennis for the Veterans teams after 25 years of Junior and Senior County Tennis. I have also represented England in the ‘Four Nations’ competition on several occasions.

Jon Hall Secretary
I joined Roundhill in 1971 and have seen many changes in the Club especially in the improvement to the facilities. I was soon drawn into taking the position of Secretary and Junior Organiser, roles which I still enjoy today. I took coaching qualifications and still drag myself onto court to help our other coaches. I am now involved the Tennis Leicestershire Club Projects Committee. Contrary to local myths I do not actually live at the Club, although retirement gives me plenty of opportunities to play, coach, watch matches and do odd jobs!

Mike Clayton Vice Chair
I am a long standing member of the Club, playing at all levels.
I am a coach and also a member of the Junior Coaching Committee.
As part of my 'non-playing' role, I oversee all maintenance and upkeep of the grounds and Clubhouse structure.

 |
Howard Thornhill Treasurer
I joined the Club in my early teens and developed a real ‘love’ of tennis and of the Club.
I have previously served on the Committee in various roles, including men’s captain and social secretary – and I have also contributed in other ways such as organising the Club tournament and winter tennis competitions.

 |
Elaine Hillcoat Grounds Manager
I joined Roundhill TC in 2008 after the closure of my 'old' Club, Hillside.
I have always had a keen interest in gardening and my aim is to maintain and improve the grounds around the courts, together with the help and assistance of other experienced members

Chris Hunter House Manager
I joined the Club around 30 years ago, shortly after moving to Leicester from Kent. Whilst having been unable to play for several years due to a sports injury, I have been able to continue in my role on the committee as House Manager. During my time at Roundhill, enormous improvements have taken place to the Clubhouse and grounds, making it one of the most attractive, and we hope, most welcoming, Clubs in Leicestershire. It is also my pleasure to be part of the social committee - helping to provide a programme of events, suppers, etc., so that hopefully, Roundhill members AND OUR GUESTS, are happy both on – and off – the courts.

Geoff Williams Mens Rep
I regard myself as a 'recent' member to this long established club.
I am retired so I enjoy the diversion that the Club offers - as well as the convivial atmosphere.
I am on the Committee as the 'Mens' Rep in order to mainly represent views of the male membership: however this is not an exclusive role as with all people and their roles, on the Committee side.
Besides my elected position, I also help out on the security, legal and IT side, as well as project management.
I am also one of the joint Trustees of the Hiilside Tennis Trust, which financially invests in tennis within the Leicesterhire area.

Roger Beall Mens Rep
Hi! I joined Roundhill in 1969 and have served the club in various capacities, including Vice Chairman, Match Secretary, Club Captain, Team Captain and currently as Men’s Representative. I have played for the men’s teams in the local leagues and am proud to have been a member of the mixed team that won the Mercury Cup on the only two occasions in the clubs history. I have also played for the Leics. Veterans County Teams at 45, 55, 60, 65 and 70 age groups. Until this year I served as a Director of Tennis Leics. Ltd, this included being Veterans Organiser for Leics, and also being chair of the Wimbledon Ticket Allocation Committee. At the age of 71 I still enjoy playing tennis at least twice a week, not only helping to keep fit, but also meeting the many friends I have made at Roundhill and elsewhere.

Alison Trafford Ladies Rep
Hi Everyone. When I first came to Leicester in 1979 I looked for a welcoming and friendly club and found Roundhill. Thirty years later I'm still here and probably enjoy my tennis now more than ever despite being unable to claim any great tennis pedigree! I've served on the committee for much of this time and play for the ladies teams as well as socially. The social life of the club has simply grown and grown. Infact the fun and friendship at Roundhill is a very important part of my life.

Barbara Waling Ladies Rep
I am a ladies representative on the committee and publish newsletters to keep members informed of events and issues. I have been a club member for 20 years and participate in social events, club play, club tournaments and team matches.
